part of Eric’s Hebrew name which captures his courage
Shriner fez: embodies both the Masons and Shriners that he truly loved and gave him so many special friends
Music note: signifies his passion for all music genres and singing, especially college fight songs
Zebra: symbolizes the uniqueness and diversity of primary immune deficiencies

Eric was determined to live a full life despite so many obstacles. Some of his proudest accomplishments included:

  • Starting a CVID Facebook Group in 2004. For Eric it was a “way to connect with people with his diagnosis.” He knew if he had questions so would others who share the same illness. Eric noted, people from around the world visit his CVID page “to share their insights, help and experience, as well as what they are going through at that moment and get feedback from others with the disease.”
  • Becoming a Bar Mitzvah and being the life of the party at family events.
  • Graduating high school and college and starting an MBA program in social media.
  • Knowing hundreds of college mascots and the fight songs for all division 1A schools.
  • Taking full responsibility for his needs by working full time.
  • Owning and teaching others about all the latest electronic devices.
  • Developing and maintaining a website for a home care company that went above and beyond for their patients.
  • Traveling throughout the country and the world and moving on his own to Miami Florida for three years.
