The following organizations represent three special areas that meant a lot to Eric. We encourage you to learn more about these organizations and, if you would like, contribute in Eric's honor.
Memorial Sloan Kettering Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant
Dr. O’Reilly and the pediatric bone marrow team gave Eric special care and let him continue to hope during his last year. Eric wanted to be sure that children with primary immune deficiencies have the true benefit of continued scientific breakthroughs that will help them fight their medical challenges and achieve a healthy life.
Immune Deficiency Foundation
In 2004, Eric learned that he had a primary immune deficiency and he discovered IDF, an organization dedicated to improving the diagnosis, treatment and quality of life of persons with PI. IDF provided Eric with a supportive community and led to his creating a face book page for patients and their families.
Shriners Hospitals for Children
Eric became a Mason in 2007, a fraternity dedicated to making the world a better place. In 2012, Eric joined the Shriners, a charity group within the masons, which provides pediatric medical care and research. They were a big part of his life, a dream of Eric’s was to be a part of the Shriner team driving children to the hospital.
